When trying to print direct from IndustriOS and receive an Error 526, if means there is no connected printer within IndustriOS for the current user.
Workaround Work Instructions
1. Log into IndustriOS.
a. Open Job Entry/Browse.
b. Locate correct Job Number and Tag.
c. Press the Print icon in the top left corner of the screen.
2. Under the Options tab:
a. First Task Name Shop Document , select SCHE BIG PRINTER MG from the drop-down menu.
b. Second Task Name Shop Document , select TAGGED TO GRAF PRINTER.
i. Leave your cursor in the Shop Document box. If your cursor is in another cell it will change the print parameters to a different Task.
c. Press Next >.
3. Make no changes to the preset check boxes under Sections to Include and press Next >.
a. In the next screen, make sure Tagged Only is checked, then press Next >.
4. To print to PDF change the Send Output To, to Screen from the drop down menu.
a. Press Process in the bottom right corner of the window.
5. (If a current printer connection has been established) To print direct from IndustriOS, change the Send Output To, PRINTER, from the drop-down menu.
a. In the second drop-down menu select the correct printer.
There are 2 options from here to save to PDF, choice EITHER instructions for step 6 or 7.
6. The Shop Document PDF window will automatically populate, press the Print bottom in the top middle of the window.
a. A Print Setup screen will appear, select Microsoft Print to PDF, then press OK. The PDF can be saved to the Desktop then printed to a printer.
7. Alternatively in the Shop Document screen you can press the Export button instead and the Choose Export File window will appear.
a. Choose a location to save the PDF file and a name, then press Save.
i. If needing to print multiple files, save all to one location and they can be printed in bulk from said file.
